Medical Technologist - Community Health Systems (Brownwood, TX)
Title:
Medical Technologist Performs manual and automated routine blood tests.
Prepares specimens for microscope examination.
Operates laboratory equipment including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to supervisor or manager.
Education:
AS or BS degree from an accredited college or university required.
Degree must be in Medical Technology or one of the biological or chemical sciences.
Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory school preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
Registration as a Medical Technologist, MT (ASCP), MT(AMT), HEW, or CLS (NCA) required - or be a MT(ASCP) with a specialty in one of the laboratory disciplines such as SBB, SH, SC, SM, or SI.
