Speech Language Pathologist - Community Health Systems (Brownwood, TX)

Administers treatment to patient in accordance with the physician's referral.
Directly responsible to the director of physical medicine and utilizes a collaborative relationship with other patient service departments.
He/she utilizes interdisciplinary input to implement patient care.
Skillfully performs evaluation of patient's speech and swallowing abilities/needs.
Consistently sets applicable goals upon completion of evaluation.
Routinely performs treatment as ordered by physician order within Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) standard of care.
Completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Communicates effectively with other staff, patients, family, and physicians.
Possesses communication skills necessary to interpret age-specific response to treatment.
Understands the range of treatment needed by age-specific group.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master's Degree from an accredited school.
Experience:
Experience in the delivery of inpatient skilled nursing, and outpatient speech therapy.
Two or more years' experience as a Speech Therapist preferred.
Must have experience with modified barium swallow studies and dysphagia treatment.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to work with patient age ranges from pediatric to geriatric.
Licenses/Certificates:
Certified of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Licensure by State Board of Examiners of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
Current CPR certification and must be American Heart Association.
