The candidate we are looking for is highly organized and efficient.
Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
Helpful to know Word and basic Excel functions.
Primary duties include:
Work with the director to assess and maintain service plans for residents of the facility.
Record residents' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
Prepare and set up medications as directed by a physician.
Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
Schedule appointments and lab draws for residents.
Maintain an organized and efficient schedule.
Transport residents to appointments and communicate with the doctors concerning plan of care for the resident and obtain the progress notes from the appointment.
Maintain all resident records paper or electronic.
Run monthly forms and schedules.
Contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests or admission.
Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, faxing, communicating with pharmacies, obtaining, and maintaining insurance information.
Maintain a clean and organized central medication closet.
Ordering supplies as needed for this duty.
Communication with families of residents on needs and issues that arise.
Communication with floor attendants to perform specific duties.
