Job Description - Cement Pump / Acid Pump Operator The Cement Pump / Acid Pump Operator will be self-motivated, with the desire to work and not be afraid of physical labor.
This individual will have an active and in good standing CDL, preferably Class A and will operate cementing equipment safely and in accordance with the company operating procedures and safety and quality guidelines.
The operator will work along the rig or unit crew, performing a number of field tasks associated with cementing operations and will be familiar with air systems and hydraulic systems on the cement pumping equipment and be capable of preventative maintenance of the equipment and tools.
Job Functions/Duties:
Rigging-up and rigging-down of service equipment on work locations to include, but not limited to spotting of cement storage vessels, pre-mixing of spacer fluids, and rigging-up appropriate data monitoring equipment.
Operation of cement pumping and mixed equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, bulk cement blending, delivery and storage systems, manifold equipment, cementing plug releasing tools and data acquisition systems.
Verifies correct line up of valves on bulk systems and surface manifold equipment.
Assists in the performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and associated paperwork/reports.
Understands hazardous materials, job, wash up and discharge procedures and ensures compliance with SDC Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, guidelines and regulations, promoting safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
Performing other duties as assigned by operations management.
Qualifications:
At least two (2) years' experience and one (1) year of pump down or reverse unit experience operation with an oilfield service company.
CDL, preferably Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
Working knowledge of running high horsepower pumping equipment in a safe, and professional manner.
Ability to calculate well-bore volumes, pump volumes and capable of displacing well fluid with cement.
Work may be performed in all weather conditions.
Mobility, including entering confined spaces, enter areas by the use of ladders or other access devices up to 15 ft.
; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl and walk.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written in English.
Basic math skills and problem solving and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, vendors and other employees.
Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
