Position Overview:
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting an attorney whose practice areas include estate planning, probate, and business matters.
The ideal candidate is proactive and organized and has impeccable grammar and a friendly demeanor.
This role requires someone who enjoys writing and is eager to learn and grow within the legal profession.
Your self-confidence and ability to support the attorney in a steady workflow will be essential to the success of our team.
Key
Responsibilities:
Assist with document preparation, including drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately labeled and filed appropriately.
Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings, and manage attorney calendars effectively.
Communicate calmly and professionally at all times.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or associate degree preferred.
Previous experience in a legal environment is a plus but not required.
Availability to work at the firm's office on Mon-Thurs 8:
15-5:
00 (with 1-hr lunch); Friday 8:
15-4:
00 (with 1-hr lunch).
Strong writing skills with excellent grammar and attention to detail.
Organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to work well in a team environment.
