POSITION
Summary:
Manufacturing facility in Abilene, Texas, is seeking packaging operators who will be responsible for packing quality products into boxes for shipments.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Writing and computation skills normally acquired through the completion of high school.
- Manual dexterity, lifting up to 50 pounds, continuous standing, frequent walking, continuous grasping and repetitive hand motions and sight adequate to see defects.
- Hair nets and eye protection required, exposure to noise requiring hearing protection and ability to withstand extreme temperatures during summer months.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF
Responsibilities:
- Checks finished product for quality issues, as it comes off of the conveyor.
- Packs plastic containers and lids of various sizes into boxes.
- After packing containers, he/she will pass the box to the Tape Machine.
- Responsible for keeping the work area clean.
- Erects and labels boxes as needed.
- Grinds poor quality product.
- Re-packs product as needed.
- Clean inside and outside of the machinery.
- Other duties may be assigned.
WORKING SCHEDULE & PAY RANGE:
$7.50 for 1st shift- 6:00 am-2:30 pm.
$7.75 for 2nd or 3rd shift- 2:00 pm-10:30 pm or 10:00 pm-6:30 am
Monday-Friday.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
